Autobiography of a Mental Health Disorder Project
Having a mental health disorder is not rare. Many people, including well-known actors, athletes, scholars,
entrepreneurs and others who have contributed to society have a mental health disorder that they have
struggled with. Many of our personal lives have been affected by mental illness as well. As a nurse, you
will encounter mental illness every day, it is important to develop an understanding of what it may be like
for the person living with the diagnosis. You will write this paper from the perspective of one inflicted
with the disorder. This paper along with presentation is worth 20% of your course grade.

You will draw by lottery, a mental health diagnosis.
Research the mental health disorder.
Select a minimum of two reliable sources other than the Videbeck textbook to support your
